Easy Virtue

This was a very sad story really but it was also very funny! Colin Firth was genius as a grumpy and sarcastic man. Kris Marshall was as funny as ever as a butler, and Ben Barnes was just simply cute! All in all, I found it very enjoyable, Mum wasnt so impressed make your own minds up as to what you think!

High School Musical 3

Saw 1 and laughed a lot, missed 2 but thought I would see this, and it is much better than 1. I actually really enjoyed it. I think the advantage with a Disney kiddie thing is that you are warned that it is going to be excessively cheesy so you go in prepared. It really didnt dissapoint there, but there is some fantastic dancing and some very good songs. Zach Efron in particular was fantastic, there were two songs in particular that are worth seeing, first in a scrap yard then a solo at the school. Really was suprisingly entertaining. However, I really dont think that means people will magically like it. If you have no inclination to see it cos its a musical aimed at young girls then dont see it, cos that is exactly what it is. However, within that category I am going to give it

Ghost Town

At the beginning this had some really funny moments. I was quite impressed with Ricky Gervais in a leading role like this as I wasnt really expecting him to be able to pull it off. The script though was I think perfect for him as the guy didnt have to be standard rom com material. It gets really quite cheesy towards the end, which really is a shame as at the beginning he really is ten times as entertaining. All in all I think it was ok but not super duper.

Quantum of Solace

I have had the debate of who would win in a fight between Bourne and Bond for years. Before Casino Royale I would have said Bourne hands down, after Casino Royale I would have said it was a fair fight, now I would say Bourne would be destroyed. I love Daniel Craig’s Bond, he is so much more driven, he still has the charm and swagger but he has something else. In this we are back to Bond in more ways than with Casino Royale, mostly in relation to the women. The opening sequence is fantastic and exciting and the action just doesn’t stop. It is fantastic from start to finish. My only complaint was with MI6 where they had endless touch screen and voice activated stuff and it just doesnt seem to fit the new Bond. Other than that brilliant.
